When I got engaged to my now wife, our marriage was illegal in my home state of Louisiana. We were engaged but really not sure we would ever actually be able to get married in our city. It was exciting but a bit heartbreaking. When we started inquiring with wedding vendors, I always made a point to say "we are TWO LADIES getting married" so if a vendor wasn't comfortable working with us, they could just tell us they were already booked or something. I was so scared my wife and I would be discriminated against that it put a shadow over our planning.
Now, it's my personal mission to make the wedding industry more inclusive as a whole. This course is where we start.
